I really love to write. I enjoy crafting new stories and poems during my spare time. I enjoy this more than watching movies. I am currently doing my dissertation writing project. I just finished my law essay writing project though.

Each year, many students from many parts of the world enrol to study in British universities because of the established good quality of education that British universities offer. A British style of education is distinguished from other countries because of the presence of UK essays as a requirement. While educational systems in other countries also require essays, it is significantly different from the UK essay.

In terms of feedback, other universities may require quizzes, exercises and mid-terms, while British universities may require one or two essays for the duration of the term. For exams, other universities aim to reproduce the knowledge given in discussions and lectures. The exam may be given in a varied format such as essays, multiple choice, filling the blanks, matching type, and other types of assessments. On the other hand, the British higher educational system requires UK essays to be written on a wide variety of topics. While other universities' essay requirements include a thesis, sources, and a linear argument, UK essays are discursive, speculative, and has a clear structure.

The key to doing well in writing UK essays is to do a good amount of reading and thinking about the topic on your own and then discussing it with other scholars or with professors and instructors. Take note that British university instructors and professors typically give out a large amount of reading lists in which as many as around 50 reference materials appear, with only a generic instruction to “look into” these materials. They will also most likely not tell you which ones will be used extensively during the course of the term. Some will become primary references, while the rest will only be sources of information in passing.

The degree programme you will be enrolling in will already expect you to decide for yourself to make your own style in handling this wide reading list. Later on in the course, you will be encouraged to look for themes among these materials that interest you and then do further reading on them. Your reading concludes in a paper wherein you will present your analysis of one or more of these themes. Another important tip in making successful UK essays is to find out what exactly is being required of you. Look for clues in the instructions which will allow you to determine how you will proceed with doing research and writing the essays and in other aspects such as the length of the essay, how to cite the sources, how to structure your arguments, etc.
